Stage 5 moves back to 7 yards and returns to the draw. You have 5 seconds to draw from concealment and fire 5 rounds. This is a comfortable pace — roughly a second per round including the draw — which makes it one of the more forgiving stages for most shooters.
The extra distance compared to the 5-yard stages means your sight picture needs to be a little more deliberate. At 7 yards, point shooting starts to lose reliability, and you should be driving the gun to your sights on every shot. Use the generous time limit to confirm your sight alignment rather than rushing.

Stand facing the FBI-QIT-99 target at 7 yards. Pistol loaded and holstered under a concealment garment. Hands at your sides. Shot timer set.
Scoring
Any hit inside the scored area of the FBI-QIT-99 counts as 1 point (max 5). Part of the overall 50-round qualification — passing requires 40/50 (80%).
Tips
Use the time. Five seconds is enough to confirm your sights on every shot. Shooters who rush this stage and throw a miss lose more than shooters who use an extra half-second per shot.
Progression
This stage should be a confidence builder. Goal: 5/5 hits with time to spare. If you cannot clean this stage consistently, work on your concealed draw to get first shot on target under 1.8 seconds.
