Stage 11 is a kneeling reload stage at 25 yards. From low ready, drop to a kneeling position, fire 2 rounds, perform an emergency reload, then fire 2 more rounds from kneeling — all within 14 seconds. Single string, 4 rounds total.

Unlike Stage 8 which transitioned from standing to kneeling, here you go directly to kneeling and stay there. This isolates the reload skill at distance. At 25 yards from a supported kneeling position, the A-zone should be achievable on every shot. The 14-second par is generous — the challenge is maintaining shot quality through the reload disruption.

Range Setup

Setup

Stand facing a USPSA/IPSC target at 25 yards. Carbine loaded with 2 rounds, on safe, at low ready. Spare magazine with 2+ rounds. Shot timer set to 14 seconds.

Scoring

IPSC scoring: A/B = 5, C = 4, D = 3. Max: 20 pts. Single string.

Tips

After the reload, re-establish your kneeling support position before firing. The temptation is to fire immediately after the bolt goes forward — resist it. Settle, confirm, press.

Progression

The reload at 25 yards should not cost you accuracy. Practice the kneeling reload until your first shot after the reload is as good as your first shot before it. Goal: 20/20 under 10 seconds.
