Razzle Dazzle is a Tactical Games aggregate that tests an athlete’s ability to run two weapon systems under a single time cap. The rifle phase demands precision head-box hits at distance from three different shooting positions, while the pistol phase shifts to rapid torso engagements at close range.
The mandatory reloads between every position force deliberate magazine management – fumbling a reload under the 60-second cap can quickly spiral into a time-plus penalty. The transition from rifle to pistol adds complexity: showing a clear rifle, slinging it securely, drawing the pistol, and immediately re-engaging requires rehearsed weapon handling.
To progress, dry-fire the entire stage as a single continuous flow. Establish a consistent rifle-to-pistol transition sequence and rehearse reloads until they are automatic. On the shooting positions, prioritize a stable platform over speed – two clean head hits are faster than four rushed misses.
Three IPSC paper targets at distance. Two far shooting boxes for rifle engagement, two near shooting boxes for pistol engagement. Full Tactical Games Kit with rifle and pistol. Athlete starts in one of the back rifle boxes of their choice, pistol unloaded and holstered, rifle loaded and at high ready with buttstock touching belt.
Time Plus scoring. Time cap: 60 seconds. Rifle: two shots to the head box per target. Pistol: two shots to the torso per target.
Prioritize a stable shooting platform over raw speed – two clean hits are always faster than quick misses requiring make-up shots.
