Stage 12 adds movement back to the dual-target engagement. From low ready at 15 yards, advance toward the targets and fire 2 rounds into Target A, swing to Target B and fire 2 more — all while moving within 4 seconds, ending at approximately 10 yards.
This stage increases the tempo from Stage 10. The distance is shorter (15→10 vs 25→15), but the par is also tighter (4s vs 6s). The ratio of shooting to movement is higher here — you spend proportionally less time walking and more time engaging. At this distance, your target transitions need to be fast and decisive. Slow swings between targets burn time that you cannot recover.
50-round, 14-stage course (all carbine). Vest and helmet mandatory. Scoring: A zone = 2 pts, B/C = 1, D/miss = 0. Max 100 pts, pass at 80%.
Two Marine E silhouette (or USPSA/IPSC) targets side by side at 15 yards. Carbine loaded, on safe, in low ready. Vest and helmet worn. Shot timer set to 4-second par. Clear lane for forward movement to 10 yards.
MARSOC scoring: A zone = 2 pts, B/C = 1, D/miss = 0. Max for stage: 8 pts (4 rounds — 2 on A + 2 on B).
At 15-10 yards, the targets are close enough that you can swing between them while maintaining your walking cadence. Do not stop to shoot — the 4-second par does not allow it. Fire in rhythm with your steps.
Compare your time on this stage to Stage 11 (static, same round count). The movement should add no more than 0.5 seconds to your total. If it adds more, your movement technique is disrupting your shooting. Goal: 8/8 pts.
